Fluorine lined valves, also known as fluorine plastic lined corrosion-resistant valves, are made by placing polytetrafluoroethylene resin (or processed profiles) on the inner wall of steel or iron valve pressure parts (the same method is applicable to the lining of various pressure vessels and pipeline accessories) or the outer surface of valve interiors using its unique performance in resisting strong corrosive media to make various types of valves and pressure vessels.

Polytetrafluoroethylene, commonly known as the "plastic king", was first developed and introduced by DUPONT CO., LTD. in 1938 in the United States. It underwent industrial production in 1949 and has a history of 50 years from an industrial application perspective. However, it has not been widely used in the valve industry for a long time.

Fluorine lined valves use lining technology for all areas within the valve body that can be reached by the medium. The lining material is generally made of fluoroplastics such as FEP (F46) and PCTFE (F3), which can be used in pipelines with various concentrations of sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, aqua regia, and various organic acids, strong acids, strong oxidants, and other corrosive media. However, fluorine lined valves are limited by temperature (only suitable for media between -50 ℃ and 150 ℃). Valves that can be lined with fluoroplastics include fluorine lined butterfly valves, fluorine lined ball valves, fluorine lined globe valves, fluorine lined diaphragm valves, fluorine lined gate valves, fluorine lined plug valves, etc.
